Sources and attribution
Where PlayGM's sports information and creative work come from, and the credits their licenses require. This page is the public counterpart of the in-app Sources & Legal screen.
Not affiliated
PlayGM is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, MLS, or their respective players' associations (NBPA, NFLPA, MLBPA, NHLPA, MLSPA). Player and team names are used strictly for identification under the doctrine of nominative fair use. No league logos, team logos, or player likenesses appear in the app.
Sports data
Scores, schedules, statistics, biographies and editorial claims in PlayGM retain source, freshness, validation, rights and correction provenance. Current internal-beta reference caches identify API-Sports and the ESPN public API as their data origins; that identification does not imply endorsement or certified production rights. "Source" or "About this data" controls appear in the app where context, correction, contract or law requires them. Final provider attribution will follow the controlling provider agreements.
Icons used in trivia and challenges
Twelve icons that render on trivia answer lines come from game-icons.net and are used under the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported license (CC BY 3.0). That license requires the author, the source and the license to be named wherever the work appears, so they are named here and on the in-app Sources & Legal screen. The icons are recolored and displayed within PlayGM's own treatments; no endorsement by their creators is implied.

Licensed or public-domain assets are used only with a verified rights record and any required attribution. Official team identity is not used as PlayGM branding.
Sound
The current PlayGM sound-effects package was synthesized from scratch for PlayGM and contains no third-party samples. Those effects are dedicated under CC0 1.0. Any future music package must carry its own recorded rights and credits before release.
